In our case, we are a video podcast. Video podcast (sometimes shortened to vidcast or vodcast) is a term used for the online delivery of content through a process known as RSS enclosures. The term is an evolution specialized for video, coming from the generally audio-based podcast and referring to the distribution of video where the RSS feed is used as a non-linear TV channel to which consumers can subscribe using a PC, TV, set-top box, media center or mobile multimedia device. Podcasts are essentially like TV shows — some from major media, others from passionate individuals — delivered over the Internet to your computer. Unlike streaming content, which requires you to view in real time, podcasting lets you defy programming schedules and watch your favorite shows whenever you want — and with iPods or other portable media, wherever you want.
